About Insole Court
This unique grade 2 listed garden contains a stunning range of ornamental features and forms the grounds of Insole Court mansion.
The house and gardens were acquired by Cardiff Council in 1932 as part of the land required to build Western Avenue. In 2011, the Insole Court Trust was formed to preserve and protect the property, which reopened in 2016 following extensive refurbishment funded by a Heritage Lottery Fund grant. The Trust now manages the buildings, but the grounds remain the responsibility of the Parks Service.
