About Llandaff Fields

Llandaff Fields is part of an extensive network of grade 2 listed parkland extending from the city centre northwards, on either side of the River Taff.

The fields were acquired as playing fields by Cardiff Corporation in 1898 and are one of the city’s earliest public recreation grounds.

Visitor information

The parkland is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Parking: Pay and display parking at Llandaff Fields. The car park is open from 7.30am – 30 minutes before sunset.

  • Grade 2 listed historic park: Listed on the Cadw Register of Landscapes, Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.
  • Tree lined pedestrian avenues of mature trees cross the site
  • Former bowling green is now home to Llandaff Croquet Club

Facilities

  • Toilet and refreshment kiosk: open all year round
  • Sports pitches: to book a sports pitch please contact the Parks Service
  • Children’s playground: suitable for children aged 3-14
  • Tennis courts: open all year round – no charges
