  • planting
  • clearance work
  • access improvements
  • historic research
  • fundraising and publicity.

You can find out more about individual Friends Groups from their websites. Some groups don’t have their own websites so please contact us for details.

Cardiff Friends Forum

The forum supported by Cardiff Council, provides support to all the Friends Groups with a regular programme of activities where Friends from different groups can meet together and share their experiences.

Established in 2006, the Forum supports the activities of the Friends Groups by providing information on:

  • funding
  • publicity
  • health and safety
  • grant applications and
  • general green space issues.

Activities organised by the Forum include the popular summer barbecue at Forest Farm and regular meetings to discuss issues of common interest.

As a result of the Forum, Friends Groups can play an active role in supporting environmental events such as the annual Out of the Woods Festival in Bute Park and Wales Biodiversity Week in June, as well ensuring that their own events and activities are advertised to a wide range of interested people.
