Course objectives
By the end of the course, participants will:
- understand the key principles and benefits of outdoor learning
- build confidence in teaching outdoors
- take away ideas and activities for outdoor learning and linking to the curriculum
- identify and understand the role of educators in the outdoor environment
- identify barriers to outdoor learning and plan how to overcome these
- discuss risk assessments and how to manage safety in outdoor settings
